Lava nails is a manicure I have wanted to revisit ever since I created this bright version using IBD gel polishes.
For this manicure I used a gorgeous neutral grey gel polish by Gel Bottle #V88 which has been very popular with my clients. I like to call this colour 'putty' because I can't stand that the GelBottle colours do not have names.
To create the lava nail I started with a pale pink and covered with several alternate layers of pastels in the colours of my choice - pink, lilac, blue and the putty shade which is on my other nails. I then removed the final inhibition layer and filed through the layers to reveal an abstract pattern. I then shaped the nail and topcoated.

I absolutely love the end result of this manicure. Lava nails are such a fab effect and are definitely worth all that filing.
