Orion Nebula by Different Dimension

Hi NaiLovelies!

Have I got a stunner to show you today! This is the gorgeous Orion Nebula by Different Dimension. It’s absolutely beautiful! I have been chomping at the bit to wear this one since it arrived a few weeks ago, more so after I swatched it on a swatch stick – woah it glided on like buttah!

Orion Nebula is a deliciously smooth jelly base containing a generous helping of three different sizes of circular glitter. The glitters are approximately 1mm, 2mm and 3mm in size. The smaller glitters are a wonderful bright jewelesque fuchsia and glow marvellously catching the light at every given opportunity. The largest circles are a paler lavender toned pink colour and holographic!!!

I absolutely love everything about this polish.

In my opinion the formula is outstanding; it flows onto the nail with ease making precise application a possibility. The formula kind of reminds me of a gel as it is incredibly smooth and extremely forgiving, which allowed for some flawless late dabbing of the glitter if required, without messing up the base.

The polish dried quickly but not too fast. I was able to apply the second coat less than 5 minutes after applying the first. I love the size and shape of the bristles of the brush, the handle, the bottle size – everything! The only thing I would say is that I would like a slightly longer brush if possible which would help when it comes to fishing out the larger glitters. I applied two easy coats of Orion Nebula over one coat of a black crème polish.

I'm throwing in a quick photo of my non dominant hand - well, just because....

Orion Nebula – Different Dimension (2 coats)
Emotions – OPI Liquid Sand
New York Noir – Nails Inc.
Seche Vite topcoat

I did the manicure below for my sister at the weekend and loved it so much I decided to replicate it on my own nails.

I am actually wearing this manicure on top of my IBD Mocha Roses In Paris manicure. I removed the stamped on roses using acetone free remover and added some Orly Rubberised Basecoat to my nails before painting. I don’t always use basecoat however, as the base is light and this manicure is dark I wanted to protect the original gel manicure from staining so I can wear it again later and also get the longest wear possible without chipping.  I've found using a basecoat assists both of these requirements but it's not essential.
