Perfectly Pure!

 Hiya NaiLovelies!

I am still wearing my IBD Perfectly Paisley manicure and I must say I absolutely love this colour!

However, after wearing Perfectly Paisley for three days I decided to give my manicure a bit of a face lift with an opulent coating of OPI Pure topcoat which was a post Christmas treat from OPI's Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 collection.

This glamourous bottle of pure is displayed in an equally glam box with quilted detailing.

Pure is a really beautifiul almost Matte (the gold leaf, not the polish base) pure 18k white gold and silver leaf topcoat.  It is just as easy to apply as it is stunningly beautiful to look at!  This one is totally unique in my stash of both regular and gel polishes and can easily be used to jazz up a manicure of either nail polish medium.
Just look at all of that glittery goodness which ends up on the brush after one quick dip into the white gold coloured bottle!

There is nothing like having the feeling of real gold on your fingertips to make everything that you do with your hands during a normal day, have that special touch of elegance!!!  Okay, okay I'm just kidding, it doesn't really but I must admit, I honestly can't stop looking at my nails with this on them!

I achieved amazingly even coverage with just one coat of Pure which I think is outstanding, no dabbing or fishing for pieces of the gold leaf was required.  That means this limited edition polish will last a really long time.  I am sure it will be a go to item in my stash as it's beautiful layered over neutral, bright and dark base colours thanks in part to the clear slightly gold-toned base which the gold and silver leaf are suspended in!  It's an amazing all rounder and I think even those who don't feel that glitter is for them will swoon at a coat of Pure over their favourite polishes.

Not content with having 18k gold on my fingers....I then decided to amp up my manicure a further notch, with the addition of a rather edgy nail shield from Hex Nail Jewelry.  I used some old Seche Vite topcoat which has gone thick inside the bottle regular topcoat to affix the nail shield.  I could have attached the nail charm using soak off gel polish but I decided against that method on this occasion.

As you can see from the million and one photos I wore the Hex nail shied with the larger end going along my cuticle line. This nail shield can be worn either along the cuticle or along the free edge of the nail.  As I now have kitty claws I only had one option for positioning the nail charm.

For a change, I have added a couple of pictures of this manicure in natural sunlight seeing as the winter sun decided to make an appearance at the weekend. This shows the colour of the base gel manicure using IBD Perfectly Paisley which pretty much looks black.

I absolutely love how this whole manicure came together...!
