Shellac Strawberry Smoothie

Hi NaiLovelies!

I have a swatch of an oldie but goodie to show you, which is most likely a staple colour for most Shellac enthusiasts.  This is Shellac Strawberry Smoothie and it's actually quite an eye opener for me as I brought this but it wasn't intended as a colour I would wear myself.....I'm really pleased I decided to give it a try because it's so pretty!

Strawberry Smoothie is a very pale pink with a silvery shimmering frost finish.  I had to make sure I painted this on properly so as to avoid brush strokes as being a frost it can tend to be rather brush strokey. Strawberry Smoothie was easy to apply and I am happy to say that I experienced zero shrinkage which really helped with regards to capping the free edges.  I applied 3 coats as it is pretty sheer but I wanted to have minimal VNL.  I think this polish would be great used with a French Manicure if only one coat is used.

Shellac takes quite some shaking to get it to mix properly so I shook the bottles using my Robart hobby paint shaker.  I purchased my paint shaker from eBay and it makes a massive difference to the consistency of the Shellac Power polish and made it much easier to apply.

I'm really pleased with this manicure and I'll definitely be using Strawberry Smoothie again in the future!
